Biak na BAto "Mapisi Rock" (from the Ilocano word meaning, cut or broken). You would surely love this place, not only because of the idea mentioned in one song " torn between two lovers" but also of the joy it brings for being one with the nature. A perfect place where you can relax.

Visit and explore the beauty of Biak na Bato

A clear body of water and a blue sky met us after paying just 5 pesos entrace fee.

Two Massive Rock like a Couple Destined Together
It is comprised of large boulder of coral rocks that is said to be “broken down” geologically and formed a cave-like structure. Those rocks are so edgy and full of holes, so better be careful in going up and down especially on steep places.

        The View and Ambiance

One of the rock that I enjoyed Sitting

The place also served as a park for lovers finding a place to celebrate and to rest.

                                                         Between the two Massive Rocks

Me and my sister got amazed when we saw something that was crawling in the sand and that's what we called "Omang Omang"

If, I were you come and visit one of the best place that I love to balik-balikan! White sands, clear water, cool air, wide blue sky. Those are the things you might experience in the Philippines when you set your feet on the town of Santiago at Ilocos Sur Province. :)

Directions :It is just loacated along coastal of Ilocos Sur after the town of Candon. You could take a tricycle from the National road when going here. Biak na Bato or Mapisi rock is near from the Vitalis Villas Santiago, San Esteban Mama Mary Grotto and Pantalan.
